
Vincent Tabone
Director of Strategic Initiatives
Vincent Tabone has had a diverse and storied career spanning several decades working in both the private sector and public service. Vincent has worked at the most senior levels, on and off Wall Street, advising everyone from business titans and startups to mom-and-pop small businesses on whatever challenges they have faced. Whether that means identifying solutions to intractable problems or building a team to bring a project to fruition, Vincent can draw from a well of experience and network of talent to get the job done.
Career
Beginning in 2014 to the present, Vincent has provided corporate advisory services, business management consulting, strategic advice, public relations, and policy formulation and served the needs and concerns of multimillion dollar enterprises to medium sized businesses to start-ups opening their doors or expanding their operations.

Between 2017 and 2022 Vincent served as a Co-Founder of CertifiedTrue™ a blockchain verified application that provided trustworthy photo documentation, for legal, insurance and real estate professionals. CertifiedTrue was the recipient of a Real Estate Board of New York Blockchain award.

Vincent has also served as Senior Counsel and Director of Government and Community Affairs at a multi-billion-dollar conglomerate with interests in real estate, finance, oil refining, aviation, and supermarkets. He was entrusted with high priority transactions including large scale acquisitions, corporate governance issues and regulatory and statutory compliance.

In 2010 Vincent ran for State Assembly enjoying the support of the NYPD Captains Endowment Assoc., the NYPD Sergeants’ Benevolent Assoc., the Correction Captains Association, the Deputy Wardens Association, Local 891 Int’l Union of Operating Engineers, the National Federation of Independent Businesses, the Rent Stabilation Association and Citizens Union, the Republican Party, the Conservative Party, the New Era Democrats, and numerous elected officials including Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Senators Frank Padavan and Serphin R. Maltese and was the recipient of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Harry S. Murphy Action Award and also named by Former Mayor Ed Koch a Hero of Reform that year.

His experience led him in 2002 through 2007 to serve at the NYS Insurance Dept - Liquidation Bureau (the “NYLB”), ultimately being promoted to Assistant Director of Operations to Special Counsel to then to General Counsel/Assistant Special Deputy Superintendent where he oversaw a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of assets and liabilities and all litigation, corporate, and contracting matters for 63 insolvent insurers.

Vincent also held the position of Vice President of Real Estate Development at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. At EDC he managed economic revitalization and preservation projects from the initial RFP, to closing and ground-breaking. He analyzed proposals, drafted documents, presented at public hearings, and negotiated final terms. He enjoyed an unparalleled level of success in securing public approvals and getting projects moving. Vincent maintained extensive interaction with elected officials, contractors, government agencies, and the general public. He handled multi-million-dollar real estate transactions throughout New York and served on a number of Mayoral and Queens Borough President taskforces and managed budgets of a number of local development corporations.

Early in his public service career Vince served at the NYC HPD as a Project Manager where he oversaw housing development projects from initial RFPs to closing. He facilitated mortgage financing and the restoration and renovation of architecturally significant buildings protected by the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission in distressed neighborhoods.

Before entering public service Vincent served as a Director of Research at Disclosure Inc. (a SEC information contractor). Day-to-day he performed precedents research on IPOs and M&A transactions, developed training materials for trade shows and personnel training, and conducted seminars about SEC documents and supervised, trained, and appraised performance of a large staff.
