Stephen Graves

Data & Technology Advisory Chair

Stephen Graves is a technology innovation, strategy and change executive with 20+ years of executive management and hands on experience in blockchain, enterprise software, data systems and product design. He is also a subject matter expert in Web 3 technologies, lean startup methodologies and agile process design.

Career

Mr. Graves is the Founder and CEO of CertifiedTrue, a tech startup providing image verification that enables digital images are trustworthy as evidence. He also serves as advisor to a number of other Web 3.0 projects. Recently, as Principal Consultant to Bank of China, Stephen assisted in managing a large-scale digital transformation of their legal and compliance department. Previously, he was the Director of Global Business Operations where he headed up New Product Incubation, managed operational improvements and multiple initiatives reporting to the CPO and the CTO.

Mr. Graves is also Managing Consultant at Olorin Consulting, providing strategic and political advisory as well as technology solution services across a wide range of clients, from startups and small cap businesses, non-profits and government agencies.

His prior business career has also included founding UNeCom, a digital certificate authority and security startup, working as Associate Staff Analyst for a NYC city agency, and founding Bio Nutrition Research Labs, for the research, manufacturing and sales of nutraceuticals. At the beginning of Mr. Graves’s career, he was an NFA registered Principle as a Commodities Trading Advisor and Commodities Pool Operator at BIG Asset Management and hedge fund manager at BIG Tiger Management as well as FOREX trader at Financial Services Investment Group and at GoldStock International.

Mr. Graves is active in multiple non-profit and NGO endeavors. He previously chaired the International Business Advisory Board of the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce and served as Investment Advisor to the Pakistan Board of Investment. Prior to this he was an advisor to former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and to former Kashmir Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry.
Mr. Graves has earned a Masters in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University and has taken post-graduate studies in National Security at American Military University. He holds professional certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Scrum Master, Certified SAFe Agilist and ITIL.

As an Eagle Scout, he has served in volunteer positions for the Greater New York Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He has also served as a volunteer for Prison Fellowship International and as Choir Member for Times Square Church.
