Joan Pelzer

Joan Pelzer is Director of Marketing for Gotham Government Relations & Communications as well as Aidala, Bertuna & Kamins, PC.

 

Currently Joan is Vice President of Marketing of The New York Association, a United Nations Non-Governmental Organization which partners arts organizations in New York City with Consulates and Embassies for cultural programs.

Career

Joan holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from Fordham University Graduate School of Business, 1995 and a BA in Communications from State University of New York at Oswego, 1989.

From 1995-1997, Joan was a Business and Economic Development Volunteer with the UNITED STATES PEACE CORPS Economic Development Program, Voronezh, Western Russia.

​

In 2011 and 2012, in partnership with U.S. Embassy Morocco and American Voices, Joan conducted marketing and production workshops and trainings for professional Moroccan theater troupes, producers, and students throughout Morocco and in New York City.

​

Joan is Founder, CEO & President of Joan Pelzer Social / Joan Pelzer Media, LLC, a digital marketing agency she founded in 2013. Prior to founding her own company, Joan was a consultant. Joan’s experience includes: products and professional services – arts + theater, food + event industry, health + wellness, on-line lifestyle magazine, home + lifestyle, luxury retail, jewelry, pet, and non-profit, with a background that spans start-up small businesses, not-for-profits and Fortune 500 companies as well as the United Nations.
