Israel & Jewish Diplomacy
Whether you are a private business, an international organization or an individual looking to accomplish a particular goal, we can help. Our team of prominent Jewish activists and political figures has the experience and capabilities to hone in on a strategy and execute it to perfection.
As litigators, lobbyists, and issue champions, Gotham’s founding partners have built a practice spanning all levels of government and encompassing prominent figures from both sides of the political spectrum.
The lens of Jewish concerns and causes can fit many initiatives, and Gotham is uniquely positioned to navigate the nexus between worthy organizations, philanthropists and community leaders, with media and grassroots audiences, and with those in the United States and overseas – including Israel – who determine corporate strategies and government policies.
Former Congressman Eliot Engel, Gotham’s Senior Advisor, served over three decades in the U.S. House of Representatives, rising to be Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee. His vocal and impactful support of Israel and Jewish causes while in Congress is unparalleled, and he is a past Chairman of the International Council of Jewish Parliamentarians (ICJP).
Gotham Partner Representative Gary Ackerman was a Member of Congress for 20 years and served as Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia and as Ranking Member of the Middle East Subcommittee. Like his colleague Eliot Engel, the Congressman is a past ICJP Chairman.
Gotham Partner Shai Franklin has held senior leadership positions with the World Jewish Congress, International Council of Jewish Parliamentarians and the National Coalition Supporting Eurasian Jewry (NCSEJ), in addition to stints at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, UN Watch, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, and Anti-Defamation League. He has worked closely with Jewish communities and convened Jewish leadership around the world, including in India, Argentina, Mexico, Ukraine, Russia, Spain, Israel, and the United Nations.
