International Affairs

As a full-service lobbying and public relations firm, Gotham combines the expertise of experienced foreign affairs professionals, policy analysts, and consultants with an unparalleled dedication to advocacy. Our ability to make an issue resonate with a wider public audience is one of the many reasons our team is unmatched in the field of foreign affairs lobbying and consulting.

Gotham excels at organizing delegations, conferences, consultations and media visibility at the highest levels, but more important is our focus on the results of these activities – driving policy outcomes. Just as lobbying is about relationships and shared vision, international affairs at its best ties together politics and policy, media, business, and cultural exchange.

Middle East: We have represented Libya’s UN-mandated Government of National Accord in its effort to secure Washington’s backing, and the Institute for Gulf Affairs in the campaign against Saudi extremism and human rights violations.

Balkans: Gotham was instrumental in founding the Kosovo-Israel Chamber of Commerce and is supporting other business and diplomatic initiatives to build on the emerging U.S.-Kosovo-Israel relationship and ensure a more prosperous and stable Balkan region for its people and for international partners and investors.

Central Asia: Currently, on behalf of the Eurasia Democracy Initiative, we are pushing for the U.S. Government to crack down on Central Asian oligarchs who use American banks and businesses to launder their profits from corruption and repression back home.

Ukraine: Gotham Partner Shai Franklin, who has previously organized international conferences and U.S. visits for his Ukrainian clients, is now acting pro bono to promote Ukraine’s interests across the United States.

New York Power: Working in New York as well as Washington, our neighborhood includes some of Capitol Hill’s top foreign policy voices: Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the Senate Majority Leader; Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee; Representative Gregory Meeks, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee; and Representative Hakeem Jeffries of New York, the fifth-ranking Democrat in the House. Having the United Nations Headquarters down the street has also proved invaluable.

Gotham employs the honorable Gary Ackerman, former U.S. Congressman and senior Foreign Affairs Committee Member.
